Here it is at last...

My craft desk is drying, so I'm using the opportunity to tak pics of it before I cram it with supplies! The lower picture is my computer desk that I also built. Now I don't usually build furniture, but shopping for a comp desk was a nightmare! Wires showing everywhere, not enough paper storage, ugh! So I dug into my hubby's power tools (fun!) and went to town. And of course the craft desk just HAD to match....

Sneak Peek...

Not yet listed on Etsy....I'm still trying to figure out a good way to ship these very crushable miniatures! They are made from crepe paper, cardstock, florists' tape and wire, even spices. But I just had to take pictures now, since it's an absolutely gorgeous Spring Saturday here....

Sold: I loved making this card, especially the teeny ladybugs. There's just something very cool about opening a pop-up card and finding the unexpected inside....

A Work in Progress...

This will be part of an Old World Shoppes collective display being sent to Etsy offices. The message, written by Carey and Irina, is intended to be a playful adaptation of old English documents. I burned the message into artist's canvas, and then tea -stained it to give it an aged look. I think I might use a little fabric stiffener to 'scroll' it up a bit....

Sold: This one made the etsy front page and sold just a couple of minutes later! There's also another one somewhere out there that I made for an aceo swap.

Sold: A girl and her pet duck take a walk through the glittery rain in this pop-up card. Yes, it really does fold flat and then open to a free standing position! This a 360 degree card - back looks the same as the front.

Sold: I'm just nuts about this one! An aceo-sized original woodburning of various nuts and bolts is mounted with temporary adhesive, so that the aceo can be saved for collecting or matting. Signed, dated and numbered on back.

Sold:...This 'stained glass look' orange butterfly is both on the front and inside. Made from tissue paper, the wings are designed to both catch the light and appear like they are floating.

My Latest...

This is the main reason why I've not posted too many new things on etsy! My supersized craft desk is just about half way done. Hardware, sanding, and finish left to go, and then I will have a personally designed place to really get creative. It will match the computer desk I've already built, with a storage/window seat unit to come. After that comes the fun part: shopping from etsy for neat stuff to decorate it!
