Flowerbox for the Holidays

The hardest part about making this card? It's the envelope. Because this uses a rubberband mechanism, the envelope needs to be strong, like a rigid photo mailer. Unfortunately the premade ones for CDs are too small.

Does the mechanism pull the flowers into the box when this is flattened? About how big is this?

Great card!

cpeep - the mechanism pulls the two opposite corners together to form a box shape. The flowers are not pulling in. I do have to be careful when selecting the flowers to only pick ones that will lie flat. When flattened it will fit into a 6" square envelope.

Got to skip the ones with the hard plastic centers I guess :)

On my wedding cake pop up I had to take the centers out of the flowers and replace them with gems. Even so, it wouldn't have mailed well.
