It's a Very Small World
These miniature daisies are destined for the front of a Mother's Day card. It took me most of a morning to make these six dollhouse-sized daisies, but there's something rewarding about knowing you made everything from scratch instead of buying them from a store.

In the design mode....
I've just started a new pop-up card design for someone who needs a card for a bicycle refurbisher. From top to bottom: First comes my mock-up of the wheel. I decided to lose the white in favor of the metallic silver paper. The metallic thread as spokes worked out well. The second pic is where I draw out the rest of the bike based on the size of the wheels. I've used several sketches of single gear bikes to come up with a frame I liked, and then produced a pattern for future use. The third pic is the bike almost finished; it needs handlebars, a seat and the front wheel center.
Next up is to design the handlebars so that they attach and hinge the bike to the card. More to come...
